Fareed Haque is a modern guitar virtuoso known for his unique fusion of classical, jazz, and world music. Born in 1963 to a Pakistani father and Chilean mother, his diverse upbringing influenced his eclectic sound. Haque studied at Northwestern University, where he honed his skills in classical guitar. He has collaborated with renowned artists like Paquito D'Rivera and Sting, and recorded critically acclaimed albums, including Sacred Addiction and Flat Planet. A co-founder of the jam band Garaj Mahal, he has performed globally and composed concertos for various ensembles, continually pushing the boundaries of guitar music.
