Thomas William Schuman, born January 31, 1958, is an accomplished American jazz pianist and smooth jazz keyboardist, renowned as a longtime co-leader, composer, and arranger of the Grammy-nominated group Spyro Gyra. Joining the band at age 16, he has contributed to all their albums and co-written over sixty compositions since Catching the Sun (1980). In late 2022, Schuman announced his resignation from Spyro Gyra, effective March 2023, to relocate to Europe. He has also produced seven solo albums under his label, showcasing his diverse musical talents.
