Metamorphosis is a forgotten solo keyboard feature that Tom Schuman used to perform with Spyro Gyra in the mid-1980s. Years later, Brian Friedman, Tom’s friend and photographer, shared a recording from a live radio broadcast. Tom then recreated the piece with richer studio sounds in Barcelona and invited Brian, an accomplished drummer, to perform with him. The video captures Tom and Brian playing the song, which might never have resurfaced without Brian’s recording.
