Ambi Subramaniam

Ambi Subramaniam is a violinist, composer, and educator raised in Bangalore after being born in Los Angeles. Performing publicly since age six, he has been hailed as a leading Indian classical violinist. Ambi co-founded and serves as Associate Dean and CCO of the Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts (SaPa) and helped launch the SaPa in Schools program, reaching thousands of students. He has soloed with major orchestras worldwide, founded fusion band SubraMania, and co-created The Thayir Sadam Project. Ambi’s awards include multiple GiMAs, the Philomena Thumbochetty Award, and recognition among GQ’s influential young Indians.
